Schools in Imo State remain closed till further notice
Imo State has disclosed that schools in the state remain closed in the interim pending the results of the Group testing for COVID-19 in all the 27 LGAs in the Three (3) Senatorial Zones of Imo state.
This was contained in an announcement from the Ministry of Coaching in the state. The memo reads,
The memo reads, “I am directed by the Imo State Authorities Council (EXCO) to inform you that:
1. No School: Nursery, Major, Secondary, or Tertiary is permitted to re-open in Imo State.
2. That the Hon, Commissioner for Nicely being has been mandated to expeditiously conclude Group testing for Covid-19 in all the27 LGAS in the Three (3) Senatorial Zones of Imo state and provide the outcomes to EXCO as shortly 35 doable.
3. That Schools will solely be allowed to re-open by the “Distinctive” authorization of His Excellency, the Authorities Governor of Imo State, and His Excellency’s willpower to re-open schools shall be based on constructive consequence and report of the Group Testing being undertaken, as stated above by the Hon.
