An Ilorin Magistrates’ Court docket on Tuesday, remanded a Fulani herdsman, Manu Usman, who allegedly stabbed his colleague, Akilesho Attah, to loss of life at Gwanara space of Kwara State
The defendant was arraigned on a cost of culpable murder opposite to part 221 of the Penal Code.
Justice of the Peace Abdulraheem Bello, upon refusal to take the plea of the defendant, ordered his remand at Oke-Kura Correctional Service Centre in Ilorin.
He adjourned the case till Feb. 12 for additional point out.
The prosecutor, Insp. Zacheous Folorunsho, had advised the court docket that the defendant repeatedly stabbed one Akilesho Attah with a knife within the neck whereas pursuing him for grazing on his farm land thereby destroying his maize.
He prayed the court docket to remand the defendant on the premise that the alleged offence is capital in nature.
