Barcelona have launched a statement claiming that the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) is getting used against them.
The LaLiga giants claimed it has “had a crucial unfavorable impression on FC Barcelona and has benefited its most direct opponents”.
This comes after Precise Madrid have been awarded a controversial penalty in Barca’s 3-1 defeat in Saturday’s El Clasico.
Referee Juan Martinez Munuera gave Madrid a spot kick when Sergio Ramos went down throughout the house.
After consulting the VAR show display screen, Munuera decided that Clement Lenglet holding on to Ramos’ shirt was adequate to warrant the penalty.
Ramos duly remodeled and put his facet 2-1 up, sooner than Luka Modric’s late strike wrapped up the win.
Part of the statement study: “The Board considers that, throughout the situations of comparable or very associated sport circumstances, VAR has not upheld the necessary requirements of ethics and fairness, which has had a crucial unfavorable impression on FC Barcelona and has benefitted its most direct opponents.”
