The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige has revealed that the continued strike of the Academic Employees Union of Universities (ASUU) will soon come to an end.
Dr Ngige who disclosed this on Tuesday acknowledged that the Ministries of Finance, Education, Labour and Employment and the Office of the Accountant Widespread of the Federation will meet with the academic union.
The Minister’s remarks come three days after ASUU talked about it had not often known as off its nationwide strike and that, the industrial movement would proceed until its requires are met by the Federal Authorities.
It will be recalled that the union launched into an industrial movement on March 23 protesting the federal authorities’s use of stress to enrol members on the Constructed-in Payroll and Personnel Data System (IPPIS) along with a request for the Federal Authorities to implement the 2012 universities’ desires analysis.
